• Students will soon have their own wiki page. Please select the Student Portfolios link and then click on your child's class.

• Each student has a Reading Conference with me once a week. The schedule is listed below. Students are expected to read at least an hour at home each week and to share at least one Friday book commercial with the class each quarter.

• The website for our book is www.cpm.org. We are using the Making Connections 1 book.

• We are about to begin chapter 2.

• A note about homework: Students will have 4 to 6 questions to answer most nights for math homework. Some questions may be harder to answer than others. If a student gets "stuck" on a problem and cannot find an answer or explanation, they will still receive credit as long as they have their attempts written in their composition notebook. I tell students not to spend more than 10 minutes on a problem if they are stuck.
